La Désirade Island is 11 km ( 8 miles ) long and 2 km ( 1.3 miles ) large. Its South Coast has nice sand beaches protected by a coral barrier reef. Lodging of the Remparts is the last residence before the lighthouse. It is located in a wild natural site at less than 100 meters of the sea, not far from several enchanting creeks and a large coconut beach.

Not far from the lodging, local fishermen will provide you with freshly caught fish and lobster crayfish.

In order to visit the island, bikes, scooters, cars ( 4X4 ) are for rent as well as taxi-shuttles.
